During the course, students will learn how to:

- Handle horses safely.
- Apply knowledge of horse behaviour.
- Maintain and monitor horse health and welfare.
- Carry our basic hoof procedures.
- Prevent and treat equine injury and disease.
Our program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required for working in a horse breeding or stud farm operation. This applies to horse breeding activities across disciplines and sectors including for the thoroughbred and harness racing codes.
