Farrier Apprentice

Seeking a farrier apprentice to join a busy farrier business servicing stud farms in Nagambie, Victoria. Working with other qualified and apprentice farriers we are looking for a team member with good work ethic who will gain hands on training working with horses and undertake Certificate IV in Farriery (Nationally recognised) in Wangaratta.
Monday- Friday
Above the award wages for the right candidate
ALL trade school fees paid for
ALL tools and uniforms supplied

Handle a variety of horses, including foals and yearlings
Learn to trim and shoe under supervision
Attend trade school once a month for three days and complete course work and practical assessments

Physically fit and capable of manual work
Good communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
Strong work ethic and reliable
An interest or experience with horses is an advantage
Commit to a 4 year apprenticeship
