Job Description
McEvoy Mitchell Racing is seeking a Bloodstock & Sales Manager to join our team and play a key role in the growth of our ownership base and sale of our horses. This position will be based out of our Flemington stable at the iconic Flemington Racecourse, with some travel to Ballarat.
This role combines bloodstock, sales, and client experience, supporting the acquisition of horses, managing sales campaigns, and building strong, lasting relationships with owners. The position-holder will also attend yearling sales as part of the buying bench, contributing to the sourcing and selection of horses.
The primary focus of this role is to ensure all MMR horses are fully subscribed. Working closely with the trainers, Racing Manager, and wider team, the Bloodstock & Sales Manager will coordinate the sales process from purchase through to ownership placement, while also contributing to the ongoing engagement and experience of our owners.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of Bloodstock and Sales within the business, working alongside Melbourne Cup Winning Trainers Tony & Calvin McEvoy to drive sales and client engagement with scope to contribute to the ongoing growth of the stable & our ownership base.

Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement sales campaigns across MMR’s bloodstock portfolio
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing owners and prospective clients
- Support the sourcing of new owners through networking and communication
- Liaise with sales companies and manage relevant logistics during sales periods
- Manage broodmare sale nominations and Inglis Digital sales, including related administration
- Participate in client events, including race days and stable visits
- Support trainers with sales-related administration and follow-up
Job Requirements
- Prior sales experience is essential, ideally within bloodstock or the racing industry
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to actively progress and close ownership opportunities
- Excellent communicator, able to build and maintain relationships with owners and clients
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities
- Proactive and self-directed, with a hands-on approach to getting things done
