Experienced Competition Groom Required

Experienced competition groom required for professional eventing yard.

The role will include grooming at competitions and at home. The successful applicant must be able to turn a horse out to a high standard, feel confident handling young horses, and be able to work independently. Duties will include:

Around 8 horses will be in work.
Tacking up
Lunging
Some hacking/fitness work (this is not essential)
Washing/Cleaning gear
Maintaining order in tack room/yard
Cleaning horse truck (lorry)
Caring for horses
Some property maintenance tasks
Some assistance with on farm breeding program
Preparing for and unpacking from competitions
Grooming at competitions
This is not a riding position, however as mentioned above there may be the opportunity to do some hacking/fitness work.

The successful applicant must be prepared to work 5-6 days per week on a roster system, including work on many weekends as per our competition schedule.

This is a full-time, live-in position.
