Job Description
Alma Vale Thoroughbreds, located in the renowned Hunter Valley, NSW, has a vacancy for a Marketing and Nominations Specialist. Reporting to the Stud Manager and Company Directors, this is a diverse and rewarding role, ideally suited to someone passionate about the Thoroughbred industry and eager to make a meaningful impact for a growing business.
A competitive salary package, including accommodation and other benefits, will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on experience.
Job Responsibilities
• Maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring marketing campaigns and strategies are effectively implemented and managed
• Process mare bookings, book transport and perform data entry during the breeding season
• Manage administrative tasks, including contract generation and the maintenance of horse and client data
• Plan and coordinate key events such as sales and regular client visits
• Provide clients with updates and ongoing communication on their stock
• Oversee all aspects of company event management.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
• High-level business planning, analytical, and conceptual skills to identify key issues and develop solutions that contribute to the growth of the Thoroughbred breeding and racing industry
• Confidence in presenting to the market and media, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field is preferred
• A current driver’s license, with the ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
A strong knowledge of the Australian Thoroughbred breeding and racing industry is preferred but not essential.
