Job Description
Position of Assistant Stud Manager at the Prestigious Baramul Stud Farm in the Upper Hunter Valley
Job Responsibilities
Assisting the Stud Manager with the day to day running of the Stud Farm, ensuring that all areas of the farm
You will be the contact when the Stud Manager is absent from the Farm and will be required to be on call every alternate weekend
You will work alongside the Vet Team, Farriers and Horse Managers to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the Stud Farm
You will be required daily to oversee the health and wellbeing and treatments of all the horses.
You will be required to keep accurate records of all horse movements, treatments under the strict WH & S and quarantine protocols
Work alongside the Farm Manager to ensure that all maintenance is kept up to date
Involved in recruitment alongside the Stud Manager and ongoing training and induction of new staff
Assist the Management with any performance issues and feedback and any conflicts which may occur
You will also need to make sure we conform to all Work Health and Safety procedures that are currently in place and also follow the Company's Policies and Procedures.

Job Requirements
Proven experience with strong horsemanship skills and a comprehensive understanding of how a Horse Stud Farm operates
Demonstrated People Management skills, with an ability to lead and motivate staff.
Strong Problem-solving skills with a proven track record
Management Skills that demonstrate you are reliable, and approachable and conduct yourself in professional manner always
