Join one of Australia’s leading boutique Arabian breeding and performance programs.
OSO Arabians is seeking an experienced Breeding Technician to join our team for the upcoming breeding season.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced reproduction technician or an overseas-qualified veterinarian looking to further develop their practical breeding experience within a progressive Arabian breeding program.
Unlike large commercial thoroughbred operations, OSO Arabians is a boutique stud where every horse receives individual attention. Our team is hands-on, collaborative and passionate about producing horses that combine exceptional beauty with proven athletic performance.
Job Responsibilities
The successful applicant will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our breeding program, including:
Live cover breeding management
Mare teasing and reproductive monitoring
Stallion handling and breeding preparation
Foal observation and mare care
Breeding records and administration
General reproductive management throughout the season
Highly Desirable Skills
Applicants with experience in ultrasound pregnancy scanning and reproductive ultrasound examinations will be highly regarded.

Job Requirements
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous hands-on stud breeding experience
Is confident working around mares, foals and stallions
Has excellent horse handling skills
Is calm, organised and observant
Works well independently while contributing to a close-knit team
Takes pride in maintaining high standards of horse welfare
Qualifications as a veterinarian or formal reproductive technician experience are highly regarded but not essential if you have significant practical breeding experience.
A Boutique Stud Means Variety
Because we are a boutique operation, this is not a role where you'll spend every hour in the breeding shed.
Outside of breeding activities you'll also assist with:
Stable duties
Horse husbandry
Foal handling
General farm operations
Property presentation
Supporting the wider team wherever required
