Job Description
We have a great opportunity for an experienced stable/stud hand to join our well-established team at Luskin Park.
The farm is conveniently located in the lower Hunter Valley only 15 minutes from the Hunter Expressway, 20 minutes from Maitland and 50 minutes from Newcastle Airport.
An attractive salary package is on offer for the successful applicant with favourable working hours. On-farm accommodation is also available.
As a member of the Luskin Park team, you’ll get the chance to develop your horse husbandry skills and knowledge of racing, pre-training and spelling.
Job Responsibilities
- Feed runs and paddock checks.
- Assisting the pre-training team with saddling and hosing down.
- Putting horses on and off the walker.
- Administering medications, temperature checks and bandaging.
- General stable duties such as picking up paddocks, mucking stables, cleaning tack etc.
Job Requirements
Applicants must be confident handling horses on the ground and have excellent attention to detail.
Must have a positive attitude, be conscientious and be a team player.
