Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our well-established team at the picturesque Luskin Park, conveniently located in the lower Hunter Valley only 15 minutes from the Hunter Expressway, 20 minutes from Maitland and 50 minutes from Newcastle Airport.

An attractive salary package is on offer for the successful applicant, with favourable working hours.

As a member of the Luskin Park team, you’ll get the chance to develop your horse husbandry skills and knowledge of racing, pre-training and spelling.

Job Requirements

Previous experience in a racing stable will be strongly considered. Alternatively, experience in a performance horse yard is favourable.

Applicants must be confident handling horses and have an excellent eye for detail.

Experience with general stable duties including but not limited to: feeding horses, temperature checks, administering medications, saddling, washing and bandaging.

Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.

ABOUT Luskin Park

Luskin Park is a boutique breeding, spelling and pre-training facility owned and operated by multiple Group One-winning trainer Matthew Smith and his wife Melissa. The property complements the busy Warwick Farm racing stable and provides the highest level of care and conditioning for horses when they are not in full work. The facilities include a deep sand track, dressage arena, walker and a treadmill, also making it the perfect place for injury rehabilitation and freshen-ups. Luskin Park is also home to a small broodmare band.
