Job Description
Milburn Creek is looking for a person to join our team for the 2025 breeding season. A suitable candidate will perform checks on mares and will assist with foaling and post foaling asa well as perform other farm duties.
While the candidate does not need prior foaling experience they should be proficient in handling a horse.
This job may be part time or combined with day work to offer full time employment.
Job Responsibilities
Monitoring of mares in late gestation and recognise signs of impending foaling.
Assist with foal deliveries.
Provide post natal care to mares and foals.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised foaling area.
Keep accurate and detailed foaling records.
Communicate efficiently with management.
Observe and report abnormal behaviours and signs of illness in mares and foals.

Job Requirements
Prior hands on experience with horses.
Ability to respond quickly to assist with emergency tasks.
Comfortable working nights, weekends and public holidays.
Ability to work independently and part of a team.
Physically fit and able to handle horses of various sizes.
Excellent attention to detail and record keeping skills.
Valid drivers licence.

Milburn Creek is a boutique Thoroughbred breeding farm in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Set on 300 acres, it is home to a select band of broodmares and their progeny. Milburn Creek breeds to sell and attends all the major Yearling Sales.
