Stallion Groom

Yulong Stud is seeking an experienced Stallion Groom. Reporting directly to the Stallion Manager, you’ll contribute to the smooth daily operations of our prestigious stallion barn and covering shed.

• Deliver high-level daily care, feeding, grooming, and exercise for stallions.
• Monitoring stallion health and condition, reporting any changes promptly to the veterinary or management team.
• Assisting in the covering barn including preparing and holding mares for cover.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in the stallion complex.
• Accurate and detailed record keeping.
• Carrying out and recording all treatments accurately.
• Maintenance, organisation and care of all horse gear, blankets and equipment.
• Assist veterinarians, farriers and other specialist providers.
• Parading stallions for clients and guests.

• Proven experience handling stallions.
• Previous breeding barn experience (preferred, though not mandatory).
• A clean driver’s license.
• A team-oriented mindset with an ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Reliable and a strong work ethic.

This is a full-time position, shared accommodation, and an attractive salary package are available to the successful candidate dependent on experience.
