Job Description
Cressfield is seeking an experienced horse person, preferably with Stud experience, for the 2025 Breeding season. There is the potential for the position to continue into the Yearling sales prep season.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities and daily tasks will include;
* Recognising the signs of, and assisting with foaling
* Handling foals
* Assisting with restraining mares and foals for routine reproductive vet work
* Providing medications, Oral, IM and IV.
* Feeding, mucking out and general husbandry
* Assisting routine farrier work with mares and foals
* Keeping accurate records
* Recognising the signs of, and assisting with foaling

Job Requirements
The applicant will need to be a confident horse person, be fluent in English, punctual, reliable and be able to exhibit a quiet compassionate nature for the horses in their care.
Preference will be given to someone with prior stud experience.
Wages are above award and will reflect the applicants experience.

ABOUT Cressfield
Cressfield is a privately owned boutique Thoroughbred breeding enterprise set upon a 3500 acres 10 min North of Scone in the Upper Hunter Shire. During the breeding season we foal down approximately 60 mares, and sell approximately 25 yearlings throughout the yearling sales season.
Our mission is to have a select number of high value, well performed broodmares that are mated to a selection of the Hunter Valley's best standing stallions, with the aim to produce a superior equine athlete.
