Job Description
Leading Victorian thoroughbred farm requires stud hand to assist with the preparation of yearlings for the Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale (will include leading yearlings at the sale). Contract position from 1 December 2025 to 6 March 2026 – may be extended by mutual agreement. On farm accommodation available. Join our experienced and supportive team.
Job Responsibilities
Feeding horses on the farm and specific yearling duties including handling, conditioning, and training yearlings to walk/stand. Assisting the farrier and the vets. Cleaning boxes, yards and paddocks.
Job Requirements
Previous experience with handing thoroughbred yearlings and preparing yearlings for sale.
