Job Description

Kia Ora Stud is one of Australia’s leading thoroughbred studs, renowned for breeding and selling elite yearlings at all major sales. We are seeking seasonal yearling preparation staff to join our team for the upcoming sales season, which will run from late October to the end of March 2026.

Job Responsibilities

You’ll work hands-on with yearlings as part of an experienced team to help present them at their best. Duties include:

- Daily handling, grooming, feeding and general stable duties
- Hand walking and parade practice
- Assisting with farrier/vet routines and sales preparation schedules
- Paddock checks and basic property upkeep as required

Job Requirements

- Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-first mindset
- Prior experience with handling horses
- Confident, calm and safety-minded around young horses
- Good communication and attention to detail
- Current driver's licence
- The right to work in Australia
