2025 AgriFutures Australia Les Young Scholarship

Exciting education announcement!
Applications for the 2025 AgriFutures Australia Les Young Scholarship are now open.
If you are aged between 18 and 25 and have at least two years of experience in breeding or racing, this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career and gain valuable international experience.
The successful applicant will take part in a combination of theory and practical coursework at The National Stud in the United Kingdom and will develop further understanding around foaling and breeding, bloodstock husbandry and stable and equine management. The programme can be tailored to suit the recipient depending on their experience and career goals.
All travel and accommodation costs will be covered.
The scholarship honours the legacy of the late Les Young, who sadly passed away in 2019. Les was a renowned industry all-rounder who was widely respected among his peers. He held numerous positions throughout his career including president of the Federation of Bloodstock Agents Australia (FBAA), vice president of the NSW Racehorse Owners Association and was an integral part of Thoroughbred Breeders NSW for over 60 years.
