Job Description

This role is suited to multi-skilled freelancer. Initially you will be predominantly supporting the day-to-day admin of an e-commerce business and helping us keep our social media presence active and engaging.
We’re looking for someone who can work independently, has a great eye for content and understands how to communicate with customers in a warm, helpful and authentic way.

Job Responsibilities

Customer support:

-Responding to basic customer enquiries via social media
-Assisting customers with general product, ordering and shipping questions
-Responding to comments and DMs in line with our brand voice
-Escalating more complex enquiries when required

Social media & content:

-Creating simple Instagram and Facebook content
-Taking and editing basic product/lifestyle photos and videos
-Creating simple Reels, Stories and posts
-Repurposing existing content into different formats
-Helping brainstorm content ideas and social media topics
-Scheduling or preparing posts for publication
-Keeping an eye on relevant conversations and opportunities within the equine community
-UGC outreach and management

General marketing support:

-Assisting with simple campaigns and promotions
-Helping turn ideas into social content
-Supporting launches and other marketing activities as required
-Basic shopify backend admin/updates

Job Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is:

-Comfortable using Instagram, Facebook and basic content creation tools such as Canva
-A subcontractor/freelancer with an ABN
-A confident and friendly communicator
-Naturally creative and able to come up with simple, engaging content ideas
-Organised and reliable
-Comfortable working independently and remotely
-Familiar with the equestrian/horse world
-Able to understand and maintain a consistent brand voice
-Marketing, social media or content creation experience is preferred
-Previous experience working with a small business or consumer brand is a bonus

Hours & flexibility:
-Approx. 4 hours per week to start (with potential to grow)
-Flexible hours - chosen by you!
-Remote work is absolutely fine
-Hours may increase over time as the business grows and depending on the right person
-This is a subcontractor/freelance position, not an employee position
-ABN required
-Contractor will invoice for services provided
-The role is intended to be flexible and work alongside your existing commitments or other clients.
