Relief Foaling Attendant

Milburn Creek is seeking a reliable relief night watch person to join our team for the upcoming breeding season, with the opportunity for the position to continue into yearling preparation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident around thoroughbreds, calm under pressure and capable of working independently as part of a professional Stud operation. This position will suit a part time applicant to work nights or a full time applicant that is willing to work a partial week on night watch and alternate onto day shifts.
Salary inline with experience with single accomodation provided.

Monitoring mares pre and post foaling.
Assisting with foaling and neonatal care.
General mare and foal husbandry.
Record keeping and reporting.
Assisting with veterinary procedures.
Feeding and daily care of stock.

Previous foaling experience an advantage but a can do attitude with a willingness to learn also a plus.
Excellent horse handling skills.
A strong work ethic with an attention to detail.
Ability to work nightshift and weekends when required.
