Job Description
Chatham Park is seeking a dedicated and reliable live-in groom to join our professional showjumping team based in Windsor, NSW. This is a non-riding position working alongside experienced staff, caring for both young horses and established competition horses. Self-contained accommodation is provided on site, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to become part of a professional equestrian environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, and is committed to providing exceptional horse care in a team-oriented setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Daily care of horses, including feeding, grooming, rugging, and monitoring their overall wellbeing.
- Mucking out stables and maintaining a clean, organised stable environment.
- Preparing horses for daily training and exercise.
- Show grooming at competitions, including presentation of horses, tacking up, untacking, washing….
- Cleaning and maintaining tack, equipment, trucks and stable areas.
- Monitoring horses for signs of injury, illness, or changes in behaviour and reporting concerns promptly.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the property.
- Working collaboratively with the team while following established stable routines and instructions.
