Stud hand

Oaklyn Stud is looking for a hardworking, reliable Stud Hand to join our team.

Duties will include:
• Feeding paddocks, yards and stables

• General stable and property maintenance
• Assisting with breeding and foaling duties
• Rugging, grooming, and daily horse care

Horse experience preferred, but a good attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.

Your horse and dog are welcome.
All hours worked are paid + public holiday rates.

Feeding, watering, and monitoring horses daily
Handling mares, foals and young horses safely
Assisting with breeding procedures and foaling
Cleaning stables, yards, tack, and equipment
Grooming, rugging, washing, and basic horse care
Identifying signs of illness, injury, or behavioural changes
Administering basic treatments or medications
Assisting veterinarians and farriers when required
Maintaining fences, paddocks, and general property upkeep
Operating farm vehicles and equipment safely

●horse handling experience and confidence around livestock

●Knowledge of horse health, behaviour, and safety procedures

●Ability to work every second weekend

●Physically fit and capable of manual labour

●Punctual, hardworking, and confident working independently.
