Arrowfield Stud and Training Centre are currently seeking highly experienced and capable staff to join our team. Positions are full-time and available in Scone NSW.

• Jockey – Rides horses in competitive races, race trials, and in exercise at the stable in Scone NSW. This occupation requires high levels of physical fitness, sporting ability and personal commitment as well as, or in place of, formal qualifications or experience. Registration or licensing is required.

The salary will be above award – in the range of $70,000 to $75,000 per annum depending upon the level of responsibility.

Rides horses in competitive races, race trials, and in exercise at the stable in Scone NSW. This occupation requires high levels of physical fitness, sporting ability and personal commitment as well as, or in place of, formal qualifications or experience. Registration or licensing is required.

Essential Skills:
All applicants must have a minimum of 3-years equivalent full time professional experience in the role, or 2 years equivalent full-time experience and a relevant qualification.

In addition, Jockeys may perform the following tasks:
• ride horses during exercises, race trials and races
• train and educate young stock for racing
• judge the abilities of each horse and the best tactics to use to win each race
• discuss performance of horses with trainers after races or exercise gallops
• report anything that may have affected the horse's performance in a race to stewards and other racing authorities

Desirable Skills:
• A Certificate III or equivalent international qualification
